What are same day crowns and how are they made?
A same-day crown is a dental restoration that is fabricated and placed in a single appointment. The process begins with the dentist taking an impression of your tooth. This will be used to create a model of your teeth in the lab. On your next visit, the dentist will remove any old filling or decay and prepare your tooth for the new crown. The new Cerec crown can be cut and prepared in only 60 to 90 minutes. No more temporary crown, it's all done in one visit. Dr. Cannon or Dr. Johansen can provide you with a same day crown if you are experiencing discomfort due to an old filling or decay and would like to have your tooth restored the same day!
